Moon Doggie's Dilemma
or..."In the Bottom of the Ninth...when its all TIED UP! Bet on the SOX!"
From Brent
A friend emailed me and told me you folks had already loaded
the Talent Quest pictures up! THAT WAS FAST!
I participated in
the event. I was the last singer...in the yellow suit. It was
fun, not my best singing day though. I didn't know there would
not be a MONITOR (I don't need to follow the words but it helps
to know where I'm at in the song...especially because I was singing
a duet by David Bowie and Freddie Mercury of Queen. It messed
with my concentration.) I'm not making up excuses, I just
learned a lesson.
BUT it was fun for my first time...and the pics came out nice...with
a little story there...
Yep, at the very last minute I decided to stick a black "pocket
accent" in my jacket just before I went on stage! Since this
was unplanned... My choice? A black silk tie or a black sock?.....
AND THE ANSWER IS:
Well kinda' obvious from the pics...unbeknownst to me, while
I was singin' on stage, the tie started climbing out of my pocket!
YEP... I detected a few laughs and giggles in the audience, BUT
of course couldn't figure it out. I mean was I OFF KEY? DID
MY SUIT LOOK FUNNY? WAS MY FLY UNZIPPED? GAWD I HOPE NOT!
SUDDENLY I figure it out... just before I almost tripped on it.
Yep you can follow the sequence--and the last shot is
everyone's favorite. BUT you can see that its right then that
I managed to stuff the tie back in my pocket. Right on the
final "UNDER PRESSURE" HAHAHAHAH indeed it was UNDER
PRESSURE.
NEXT TIME I'll CHOOSE THE SOCK! You might want to put this
in the "Karoake advice" section of the paper.
Call it "In the Bottom of the Ninth...when its all TIED
UP! Bet on the SOX!"
Thank you to you, your photographer and your publication...I
think you do great work. If possible, I'd like to get a set of
pics...it'll be a good story.
