Showcase Spotlight on Ray McCarley

The Silver Crooner did it again. During his showcase on September 10th, Ray McCarley, former leader of the touring band Proud Foot, sang some of his favorite songs for an appreciative audience.

Ray is a real country crooner and such a giver. This time he augmented his showcase with some of his friends, Carolyn Taylor, Jackie Christian and yours truly, David Sherry, who sang specially requested solos, as well as backup.

The consummate professional, Ray smiled broadly through some technical difficulties and delivered his country melodies exquisitely. It's so wonderful to watch Ray when he is performing. Whatever he sings, he sings with conviction.

One thing disappointing about Ray's showcase--IT WAS TOO SHORT. The audience begged for more and Ray accommodated by singing one last song.

An opportunity to hear Ray McCarley in concert should never be ignored. It is a real treat. If you missed this one, keep an ear open for any future opportunities.
